The practice was founded by David Raven in 1979 following nine years teaching experience and self-build projects. The office has been based in Cambridge since 1984 and currently four architects provide the necessary support, full or part time. Design projects in the office have been combined with consultancy work, part time teaching, editorial work and building reviews. Project work includes a mix of domestic and commercial,both new build and refurbishment; new houses and flats, extensions to houses of all building periods and works to listed buildings.

We can offer a full or partial architect's service to suit client needs, from the brief making process through to planning permission, the production of technical drawings and the overseeing of construction.We can offer advice on contractor led and self build projects and undertake feasibility studies, planning negotiations and appeals. We also provide interior design advice when required.
